Whitetail hunts, hogs, and turkey are hunted out of the two main lodges. The South Texas ranch is located 32 miles southwest of Uvalde in Maverick County and is almost 14,000 acres. Smack dab in the middle of the "Texas Golden Traingle" of B&C Texas deer. An aggressive management has kept the average bucks score in the 140" class all the way to 160"+.The South Texas House has a 3 bedroom 2 bath house, an outdoor bar, skinning shed, walk-in-cooler, and excellent food. You won't be disappointed in the quality of habitat. Mequite, and prickly pear, senderos and tanks. THis is truly what you think of when you think South Texas.
The Southwest Ranch near Kinney county around 30 miles northwest of Brackettville with about 16,000 acres of diverse habitat. The rolling hills, mesquite flats and views all add to the ambiance of the hunt. A great population of Rio Grande Turkeys and is a great option for the spring hunt! Mature whitetails on this ranch average score is 120+ with the occasional 150+ not being unheard of. A 5 bedroom 6 bath texas style Ranch house with all the amenities of home! A fire pit for evening stories, outdoor bar and walk in cooler for game.
Exotics are hunted on the two other ranches just north of Uvalde and together they contain over 11,000 acres of which 8,200 acres is low fence. Exotics have no season and can be hunted year around. An is a great way to get outside once the whitetail season has closed.The most popular exotics are axis, blackbuck, fallow, oryx, aoudad, corsican rams and many others.
Whitetail Deer Hunts- Using blinds, "popup" style blinds, Natural brush blinds, tripods, or through spot and stalk. The rut also brings rattling into the equation.
Cull/Meat Hunts– 3 day hunt includes a buck under 115 B&C and a doe
Management Hunts– 3 day hunt for a mature buck scoring 115-135 B&C. One doe, one hog, one javelina, and unlimited predators are included
Trophy Hunts– Our 4 day hunts for a mature buck over 5 ½ years of age and scoring 135+ B&C. Also included is one doe, one hog, one javelina and unlimited predators.
Offering Exotic hunts on over 20,000 acres of both high and low fence ranches. We offer over 15 species of exotics including axis, blackbuck, aoudad, sika, mouflon, corsican rams, fallow, etc. All hunts are fully guided and have high success rates. Our No Kill...No Pay policy insures that the hunter only pays for the game he/she successfully hunts. If there is no game taken only the lodging charges would apply. The daily fees for guides, lodging and meals provided are only $250/day.
The ranch is situated among the oak and cedar covered hills of the Edwards Plateau and offers heavily wooded areas as well as open vistas that provide good grazing for the game. This combination of cover offers our hunters a challenging hunt no matter which species is hunted. Hunting is conducted in a fair chase manner by spot and stalk, safari style or in permanent stands. Our intense management program ensures there is plenty of nutrition and water for the game and only mature animals are hunted.
Our hog and javelina hunts are semi-guided and consist of a three day hunt. Hogs are usually hunted early mornings and right before dark. During the day you can spot and stalk the wary javelinas. The hunt includes two hogs, one javelina and unlimited predators. These packages are three days and include food, lodging, and beverages.
