South Dakota is the sleeper of all turkey hunts states! The problem is that quality outfitters for turkey hunting are few and far between. The good ones are booked solid! Jim Riley of Detail Company Adventures decided that our guests need there own special place to hunt. Jim leased a 5000 ranch for the first two weeks of turkey season! Last year hunters took over 20 birds in the first 5 days. On accession we will use native guides that have access to an addition 40,000 acres of private hunting ground. Hunters are allowed 2 turkeys on this hunt.
You will be hunting the remote south central prairie region of South Dakota. The region is cattle country which makes it perfect for turkeys. Thick river bottoms provide great cover from predation, while the large stands of Cottonwood trees offer the best in roosting trees. Your guide will offer you the option of assisting in calling in birds for you or we can put in in a blind in a prime hunting location. This hunt is perfect for the shotgun hunter or archery hunter.
Hunters will be staying in a ranch style cottage in the middle of the hunting area. Most hunts will be conducted right form camp! You will delight in waking up, opening the front door and hearing turkeys gobbling within 400 yards! This truly is a turkey hunting oasis in the middle of nowhere! Rates: 3-day hunt $950.00 $200.00 for second turkey.
