Peacock Bass from Brazil’s Amazon River have become one of the most sought after freshwater fish in the world. This extremely aggressive and hard fighting fish, many weighing over 20 pounds, will bring smiles to the most avid sport fisherman. Visualize a big 7” lure being knocked 5 feet into the air on a missed strike and you can image the strength of these fish.
Now, thanks to the efforts of Luis Brown’s River Plate Angler’s, you can catch hundreds of these fish, on completely private waters, hundreds of miles distance from other fishermen and fishing pressure. Due to the unique “floating cabins” of River Plate you are able to access waters never before fished. This concept of “floating cabins” in private waters means you will catch 2 to 3 times more fish than any other operator on the Amazon.
Your trip will include a private charter aircraft which will take you directly to your remote floating cabin located in an area above natural barriers such as shallow waters, sand bars and rapids, and far beyond the reaches of sport fishing yachts and commercial boats.
Each day’s fishing is from 21’ specially designed shallow water bass boats. Using only experienced native guides, each fishing boat will have 2 anglers per boat. Travel time to fish each day is on average 10-20 minutes– meaning you will spend more time fishing and less time traveling than other operators. Historical records show that you can expect to catch 25 to 40 fish per day.
Guests will stay in new 270 square foot floating cabins. Each cabin will accommodate 2 people. The cabins have a front porch, air conditioning, large panoramic windows on all four sides, private bathroom with hot shower, internet phone and e-mail service.
There are separate staff quarters, kitchen and dining lounge. The entire floating caravan drafts only 4” of water and will move each day to a new location.
Guests must first fly into Manaus, Brazil where your all inclusive trip will begin. International airline service is available from Miami, Florida to Manaus.
Upon arrival in Manaus, guests will be transferred to the Hotel Tropical for one nights stay before departing the next morning for he fishing area (transfer and hotel stay are included in the price).
“River Plate Outfitters did a magnificent job of getting us there and putting us in a position to catch fish. Our camp host, John Silvia, was a genuine delight, a great organizer, host, fishing adviser, and emergency field surgeon. Guides were professional and capable. Food and accommodations on the river were first-class.”

“I just returned today from fishing in Brazil. We were at the Natan 1 camp with Adam. Not sure that I even have the words to explain the incredible experience that we had this week. Everything was fantastic from the fishing to the food. The outfit as a whole went above and beyond was more than I ever expected. Adam did a fantastic job running the camp and made us all feel very comfortable. I will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a great journey!!”
