For years, Detail Company Adventures has been considered the leading authority on Argentina wingshooting destinations. We’ve been critiquing Argentina duck hunting operations since the 1980’s. It’s fair to say that we’ve seen our share of the good, the bad and the ugly. In the case of this duck hunting lodge in the western part of the Buenos Aires province, the duck hunting isn’t just good, it’s GREAT! As a matter of fact, this operation is commonly praised for offering “the best duck hunting in Argentina.” Designed for duck hunting purists, the most common program includes both morning and afternoon duck hunting. In addition to the duck hunting, guests have the option of adding high-volume doves, pigeons and two different kinds of perdiz to the mix.

Duck & Duck Program

Few places in the world can offer duck hunting like this. Here, over a dozen different duck species can be taken, including Argentina’s famed Rosy Billed Pochard. Furthermore, this is one of the only programs that offer bountiful duck hunting in both the mornings and in the afternoons. In the field, hunters can expect comfortable blinds, a professional guide on sight, friendly and knowledgeable bird boys, refreshments and of course plenty of ducks. Another distinct advantage this operation has over the competition is that many of the area’s best duck hunting spots are within a 15 minute drive from the lodge. This means a lot less time on the road, and more time hunting.

Mixed-Bag Program
Aside from some of the finest duck hunting in Argentina, guests also have the option of hunting high-volume doves, plenty of pigeons and two different species of perdiz in the neighboring province of La Pampa. This mixed-bag program is completely customizable, but the typical itineraries include two to three days of duck hunting in the Buenos Aires province, then two to three days of mixed-bad wingshooting in La Pampa. Just a two-hour drive separates the duck hunting lodge and the mixed-bag hunting lodge.

The Accommodations

Buenos Aires Province – Duck hunters are accommodated in a beautiful and fully refurbished old-world estancia. The duck hunting lodge is situated in the heart of a peaceful eight-acre park alongside private polo grounds. Though the hunting lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 16 hunters, groups are normally kept at 8-10 hunters to provide private bedrooms for all and plenty of elbow room in the field. In total, the duck hunting lodge has 10 spacious bedrooms (some with fireplaces), 7 bathrooms, multiple large living rooms and gathering areas, a library, a main dining room and a gun room.
La Pampa Province – DCA hunters are accommodated at our remodeled La Pampa Lodge just west of the Buenos Aires provincial border. The lodge has six bedrooms and five bathrooms; hunting parties are normally limited to six to eight hunters at a time to ensure quality service and great mixed-bag hunting for everyone. DCA hunters enjoy gourmet regional cuisine, fine wines and legendary Argentine hospitality. Wi-Fi Internet is available throughout the lodge. making it easy to keep in touch with family and friends back home.

The Location
Buenos Aires Province – The duck hunting lodge is located directly west of the city of Buenos Aires close to the small towns of Lincoln and General Pinto. Getting to the lodge requires nothing more than a comfortable 4-hr drive from Buenos Aires, but charter flight options are available as well.
La Pampa Province – The mixed-bag lodge is just across the La Pampa border very close to the small town of Sarah. This lodge is approximately 100 km west of the duck hunting lodge, making it easily accessible for those wanting to add high-volume dove, pigeons and two species of perdiz to their duck hunt.
