The newly christened MONTARAZ LODGE in Cordoba, Argentina promises to be one of the premier pigeon shooting destinations in all of South America.

Best of all, Montaraz Lodge is just a one-hour drive from Cordoba’s most exclusive high-volume dove shooting area, making dove and pigeon combo hunts a breeze. Typical itineraries include three days of dove shooting and two days of pigeon shooting, though schedules are completely customizable.

The Shooting –
There is nothing quite like the excitement of decoyed pigeon shooting in Argentina. Pigeons are deceptively quick and offer shotgunners nothing less than a unique and exhilarating challenge. In Cordoba, both the mid-sized spot-winged pigeon and larger picazuru pigeon are fair game for hunters. In the field, hunters can expect expertly spread decoys and comfortable roomy blinds. Tireless scouting and healthy bird populations ensure that our hunters enjoy the most consistent pigeon shooting in Argentina. Our clients have private access to over 60 hunting fields in total. Though hunters often shoot hundreds of shells each day, this is a true gentleman’s hunt.

The Accommodations –
Montaraz Lodge is arguably the most distinct wingshooting estancia in Argentina, and by far the most exclusive pigeon hunting lodge in Cordoba. Montaraz Lodge is actually a 330 yr old Jesuit estancia that has been completely modernized and remodeled while maintaining its old-world charm. Montaraz Lodge is a working boutique vineyard and stable with an underground bodega, multiple lounges, three bars, two living rooms, meticulously groomed courtyards, a tennis court and a swimming pool. Internet access is also available. The lodge has 8 double en suite bedrooms, each with a fireplace, with a capacity of up to 16 guests. To ensure the highest quality of pigeon shooting, groups are normally limited to 8-10 hunters at a time. Fine local wines and gourmet Argentine beef dishes are served by a team of top chefs and service professionals.

Non-Hunters –
Montaraz Lodge is not only the perfect place for pigeon shooting enthusiasts, but it is also a great place for non-hunters that want to enjoy a little rest and recreation. Non-hunting options include local tours to the area’s many mountain villages, shopping tours, historical tours, vineyard tours, horseback riding, swimming, tennis and trips to the famous La Paz spa.

Location –

Nestled between Cordoba’s Sierras Chicas and Sierra Grande mountain ranges, Montaraz Lodge is a scenic 2-hr drive northwest of Cordoba city. Multiple daily flights to Cordoba from Buenos Aires and Santiago make getting to Montaraz Lodge easy and comfortable.
