Amazingly, some of South America’s finest duck and perdiz hunting is just a short hour and a half drive south of Buenos Aires – near the quaint BA suburbs of San Miguel del Monte and Pila. The proximity of our hunting lodges to Buenos Aires saves hunters tons of travel time, hassle and expense…without sacrificing the quality of the hunting experience!

The Hunting ( May 01 – August 15 )

Detail Company Adventures now has special access to these incredible duck and perdiz hunting hot spots. With very little hunting pressure in the area, as well as some of Argentina’s best preserved duck and perdiz habitat, Monte and Pila offer much more than convenience – most importantly, consistent hunting throughout the season!
The duck hunting typically takes place in the natural shallow-water lagoons that are scattered throughout the area. Normally, nothing more than knee-high water boats or hip waders are needed to stay warm and dry. Comfortable and perfectly-positioned blinds help make for the ideal hunt. Experienced guides and bird boys accompany hunters in the field as well.

The perdiz hunting in the Monte and Pila areas is also among the best in Argentina. Unlike some other perdiz hunting areas with tall weeds and uneven ground, here hunters enjoy comfortable short-grass pasture hunting. Expertly trained dogs and professional dog handlers ensure that hunters get the most out of each perdiz hunt.

Non-Hunting Activities

Non-hunters are welcomed as well. There are endless adventure options such as horseback riding and polo clinics, Buenos Aires city tours, bird watching, historical tours, leather factory tours and much more. These hunts are perfect for hunting purists, family trips and corporate entertaining alike.

The Lodges

Monte – We have a few lodging options in Monte. DCA has two beautiful hunting lodges with all the comforts and first-class amenities that our clients have come to expect. Hunters also have the option of staying in an area hotel. This option is for hunters that want to save a few bucks while still getting the duck hunting tip of a lifetime. Groups are normally held to 8 hunters at the hunting lodges and 6 hunters at the hotel.

Pila – Pila is a small town two hours south of Buenos Aires. DCA’s Pila lodge has an old-world estancia ambiance, but is actually a farmhouse that has been converted into a well-appointed hunting lodge. This lodge can accommodate up to 8 hunters.
