Mexico Wingshooting & Whitetail Hunting

Our Rio Grande, Mexico wingshooting and whitetail hunting lodge is located just across the Texas border (halfway between Laredo and Eagle Pass, Texas). Guests are treated to an unforgettable experience that combines the best of Old Mexico hunting with the finest comforts of home. Access to the ranch is easy and safe with daily flights from Dallas and Houston into Laredo – just an hour drive to the lodge via the Columbus bridge that does not pass through Nuevo Laredo.

The Hunting Lodge

Our custom built private hunting lodge provides some of the finest accommodations available in Mexico with a full staff to see to your every need. Clean and spacious bedrooms open to our beautiful courtyard, outdoor lounging areas and inviting swimming pool. Our gourmet meals cooked by chefs trained at the famous Moderno Restaurant in Piedras Negras. Our hand-squeezed margaritas offer the perfect way to relax after a tough day in the field. Your glass will never be empty with our tuxedo-clad waiters always ready to top you off.

Mexico Dove Hunting

Dove hunting is done on over 11,000 acres of planted, irrigated fields – the vast majority of which are within 30 minutes of the ranch. This eliminates the grueling 2-hour drives to fields experienced at other lodges. Each hunter is assigned a personal bird boy to spot and retrieve birds, as well as make sure you have refreshments and shells at all times. The shooting is always fast and furious. We hunt mostly mourning doves with occasional flocks of white wings or golden eared doves.

Mexico Quail Hunting

Quail hunting is done from our fleet of new-model 4 door pick-up trucks with custom “Texas-style” quail rigs mounted on the front and top. Our quail hunting is conducted on 40,000 acres of true Mexico brush country which holds an equal amount of Blue Scaled and Bob White quail. Each guide takes out private parties – ensuring you only hunt with your family and friends. An experienced group of guides and bird boys travel on each rig to spot, flush and retrieve downed quail.

Mexico Whitetail Hunting

Deer hunting is done on ranch property and leased land out of custom deer blinds, drive and spotting and rattling during the appropriate time of year. All of the deer shot at our Rio Grande hunting lodge are free ranging deer that will qualify for the “Book”. In fact, we are the only ranch in Mexico that has ever had two “Book” deer taken in the same year. We have an excellent gene pool that leans towards the beautiful, sweeping racks often seen across the Rio Grande in South Texas. During deer season, we limit the number of hunters in camp to just 6 people to ensure each hunter gets the most personable attention and the highest quality hunting.

2007 / 2008 Mexico Hunting Season

All of the rain this year has got us very excited for the upcoming Mexico hunting season. Our tanks are full, the oats are big and we have an abundance of game, big and small, roaming the ranch after 2 years of drought. We are looking forward to hosting you for a hunt of a lifetime. Feliz vieja!
