Robby Grainger of Detail Company Adventures recently hunted Red Stag on New Zealand’s North Island with his family. The Red Stag hunting was set in New Zealand’s spectacular Wanganui River Valley, which is surrounded by 250,000 acres of lush forest with breathtaking views of the Ruapehu volcano. Paul Bamber, the fifth-generation owner and operator of our North Island hunting outfit, hosted Robby and his family. Paul and his staff of professional guides know every square inch of the property like the back of their hand. All of our North Island Red Stag hunting is conducted on open land that is not surrounded by game fencing. In June of 2007 a Detail Company Adventures’ client took a world record class Red Stag. The nine year-old Red Stag eluded hunters long enough to grow to immense proportions.
By day you will hunt giant Red Stag, Fallow, Sika, Arapawa Sheep and Boar; by night you’ll enjoy gourmet meals, fine New Zealand wines and superb lodge accommodations.
