Our luxurious coastal Georgia hunting lodge is the favorite sporting destination for many US senators and governors. Built in the 1800’s, it is the second oldest hunting lodge in the US. The lodge’s rich history, famous southern hospitality, gourmet southern cuisine and beautiful surroundings are topped only by the world-class hunting. This is Georgia plantation quail hunting at its very finest! Turkey, dove, deer and wild hog hunting are available as well. Up to 24 hunters can be comfortably accommodated, making it the perfect place to hold your next corporate getaway. Non-hunting activities include sporting clays shooting, excellent redfish, trout and offshore fishing, golf and tennis. Ask about our group discounts!
The Hunting
With the area teeming with wildlife, the hunting possibilities are seemingly endless. But it’s the extraordinary Georgia quail hunting that has made our coastal lodge world famous. It is said by some that the glory days of Georgia quail hunting are long gone…those people simply have not hunted with us. Our early release program, steady to wing and shot English Pointers and Setters, master guides and custom-designed quail rigs make for legendary Georgia quail hunting. Quail limits are set at 12 birds per hunter and are normally ran with four hunters per rig, two hunting at a time. Our private 50,000 acre property provides a stunningly beautiful and distinctly southern backdrop for this hunt of a lifetime. Quail hunting season runs Oct 01 - March 31. Wild hogs can be hunted year-round and turkey, deer and dove can be hunted when in season.
The Fishing, Golfing & Other Activities
In Shore Fishing - Our expansive marshland is home to countless trout, redfish, flounder and whiting. Our shallow-water flat boats work perfectly for trailing redfish and heading off big schools of speckled trout in the area’s creeks and meandering water ways.
Near Shore Fishing - Just off our island’s coast is some of the best fishing found on the East Coast. From Cumberland Island to Sapelo Island fishing opportunities include tarpon, bull redfish, tripletail and shark. These trips offer great fishing, beautiful coastal views and an exciting addition or alternative to the hunting.
Off Shore Fishing - Nearby artificial reefs make for great off shore fishing. Anglers can fish with live bait for sailfish, wahoo, snapper, grouper, mackerel, barracuda and cobia.
Golfing - Enjoy two world famous Sea Island golf courses. The Seaside Course is situated on the southern edge of St. Simons Island. The Seaside Course is a true ocean view links course. Careful shot selection, quick recovery and good putting is a must on this course. Offering an incredibly challenging design, The Seaside Course has hosted multiple USGA events. The Plantation Course is a parkland-type course that offers long expansive fairways while winding through Sea Island’s beautiful marshlands and forests. The Plantation Course is highlighted by ocean views, towering old oaks and blooming flowers.
