Yacanto Lodge is a Premium dove & Pigeon Shooting Location in Cordoba

Accommodations

Argentina’s newest pigeon shooting destination is Yacanto Lodge. Located in the Cordoba providence, this country style estate makes a stunning picture against the Sierra Mountains backdrop. Our hunters are lodged in a country style house built by railroad engineers in the year 1900. Recently the lodge has been refurbished in accordance with the relaxation and enjoyment of the avid hunter. Main features include a large living room, bar, dining room and relaxing gallery with a view of the mountains and the old grove gardens. There are 6 nicely sized bedrooms, each with two double beds and private bath.

Non-hunters may enjoy horseback riding, mountainous treks, golf, swimming, and quaint, old farmhouse visits for procuring jams and flower essences.

Shooting Doves & Pigeons

In this area of Cordoba there are thousands of acres of roosting grounds; ideal for pigeons and doves. The hunting season starts in January and ends in August, coinciding with the harvesting and sowing seasons of sunflowers, peanuts, soy, wheat, and corn. Due to the abundance of irrigated water location, the doves and pigeons are ever increasing in number. Local farmers welcome wingshooters and promote shooting up to 1000 shells per day. A typical hunting day will include two shoots, one after breakfast and one after lunch. Yacanto lodge offers Beretta and Benelli semi automatic 12 and 20 gauge shotguns for rent if hunters prefer not to travel with guns.
